Roekadia struggles to care for six children. She says "sometimes I cry when I see my children as they were left by their father some years back." Roekadia has been weakened by several serious bouts of malaria and can no longer perform work that requires strength.
While living in the DR Congo, Roekadia did tailoring and would like a loan to purchase a sewing machine. Roekadia explains that the sewing machine would help her earn money to feed and care for her children, and in the future pay for their school.
