I have eight children. I am 56 years old and very vulnerable due to many diseases like asthma, ulcers and malaria which has left me very weak. I am no longer able to support myself and the family.
I left Congo due to the war that killed many people including my relatives and children. This is why I have eight kids, six are mine and two are orphans.
I would like to tell you that my plan is to receive a loan of 120,000 sh. I will be able to hire labor that will help me to dig more food and sell the surplus.
- Farming of cabbages and maize will take 50.000 sh
- One goat will take 60.000 sh
- The remaining money, 10,000 sh, will be used to weed the garden
I would humbly say that I will be able to pay the loan back with the interest at the end of the year and am willing to attend meetings with the other women for solidarity. I hope to make a profit of 50,000 sh every three months.
Sincerely, Nkumbuye
