I am called Ndeke Stephania. I am a widow 46 years old living in Kyebitaka Village (Kyangwali). I submit this letter to your office to ask for a loan. I will write about my life and my background.
I have 4 kids which my husband left to me before he died in the war of 1996 DRC. I have faced very many challenges which have been an obstacle to my development as a refugee in Uganda Kyangwali.
Sometimes I spend one or two months when I am sick and my kids being young fail totally to help me. Is has been hard for me especially when my children go to school. Due to our condition they get also affected because they don't look like others. But they forge life and try to go so that maybe one day life can be easy for us or when I die they can make a life for themselves.
I thought of trying to apply for a loan so that I can make a project to help my family and people around me who suffer like me.
The following is the project I think to do. Farming and Rearing Goats. I hope to use the money in the following ways. Out from 100,000sh- I will use 40,000sh for farming. I will plant beans and maize. Which at harvest there can be two sacks of beans if all goes well. And one sack may be sold at 80,000sh, which means two sacks of beans may pay back the loan. Then maize will remain my profit. There may be three sacks of maize of which one may cost 30,000sh multiply by three profit is 90,000shs
- The goat I will have bought at 60,000sh will also be growing and it may also produce two more goats and they become many.
From the profit I will be able to assist my children in buying some books and paying school fees. Also get food and clothes. I also want to help fellow poor families around me.
In case I get this opportunity and change to development my foundation I expect to pay this loan with 12 months.
