I was born in 1939 and I'm 71 years old. I am Congolese by nationality, registered by UNHCR in Kyangwali, living in Kagoma Village block 10. Because of war in the DR Congo I arrived in Uganda in 1997.
I have a total of nine children, seven are girls and two are boys. My husband died and left me with these children. I work for them and I managed to educate one girl and until now I don't stay with her as she left me.
Back to me, I have very many problems and challenges. And in addition my son died of dysentery when he was given poison. I remain with one boy and he is blind. All my daughters remained in DRC AND I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE STILL ALIVE. I am a venerable where by I don't get any assistance from any body and getting food is very hard. Being weak I try to see how to help myself and this blind child in any way I can. However he doesn't do any thing to help me.
I thought in my dream that the KYANGWALI MICRO CREDIT PROJECT FOR WOMEN, could strengthen my life. I am applying for a loan which is equivalent to 120,000sh. This amount will be used in the following ways.
I plan to buy two pigs and one goat. I'm talented in keeping pigs but the only problem is that I have no money to start or buy it, and this is the same for goats.
- Two piglets cost 80,000sh.
- One small goat is 40,000sh
The reason why I like keeping pigs is that one time I kept a pig of some body and I was successful but he took it out from me. So I request you to strengthen my project. Even if I'm old I am ready to work for my better future. This amount will help me to develop my life and even care for this blind child.
I will spend seven month with the loan because pigs are produce after four month and I would be able to sale piglets and get money to pay back the loan.
Here is the way which I will benefit from pigs and goats after feeding them very well. A pig can produce 12 piglets and one piglet is sold at 20,000sh. So the benefit which comes out from 12 piglets is 240,000sh. Which means the profit is already gained. Later with more profit I can develop myself, my community and people around me.
So I hope to get a positive answer and support from your organization. May God bless you for the great job and love towards venerable of Kyangwali.
Yours Faithfully, N. Ntezimana, Peace
