Sifa has one son and a sister she cares for. Both her parents are dead. Her mother died during the 1997 war in the DR Congo, Sifa was a baby at this time. Her father died in November 2009. Because Sifa must provide her brother and son she has not been able to attend school. She speaks Swahili. Sifa has been one of the most successful business women; she was one of the first to repay her loan. Sifa is shy but during our 2009 visit she proudly showed us her goats.
Sifa will buy two goats to breed, she will sell any goats produced to repay the loan. She will buy one jerry can of palm oil for resale.

- Sofia has repaid her loan (2009)
- Sofia has been elected "Information and Communication Secretary." She will notify MC women when there are meetings, group farming, etc.
- Sofia's two goats has produced three kids. Sofia has now has five goats, these goats are worth 200,000sh, meaning she has doubled the amount of her loan. (Benson Wereje, 08-08)
