Runigi's teenager daughter, Jenipher, died of malaria in 2009. Jenipher had been attending secondary school in Hoima.

I am by name Kigarama Runigi a Congolese widow having eight children. I would like to apply for a loan so that I can help my children go to school and develop my family.

I ran away from DR Congo due to the high killing and violence that happened in 1997. I was separated from my husband and according to what I later heard he was arrested and killed in the war.

I have suffered raising my children and have struggled to help my daughters attend school, one is in senior one and another is in primary seven.

If I get the loan I will be able to continue helping my children to have a better future. I would like to buy some animals that will allow me to generate income and I will be able to farm rice that will be sold and used to pay back the loan.

I kneel down to request you to give me a loan of 120,000sh.
  • I would love to buy two healthy goats worth 80,000sh
  • I would love also to buy seeds of rice worth 20,000sh
  • For digging the garden 20.000sh

I will be happy if my request is put under your consideration.

With this I thank you for every thing you do.
All from Kigarama Runigi.
