I was married but my husband and I were separated, I am not sure if he died or he still lives. I am lonely and have lost several relatives during the war. Since I was separated from my husband I have gone through a terrific situation.

Strange men have come in the middle of the night to attempt to rape me which has caused trauma in my life. I am not sure of my life most of the time. I am saved by the alarm in my head but I fear that one day I will fall prey to one of these evil men.

My family has horrible health problems. My son Wilson sometimes urinates blood, he has develop an anemic situation. My daughter Deborah has typhoid and severe malaria, fever, vomiting that makes her vulnerable. When I visit the clinic I am given panadol that heals especially headache. My problems are many because I keep moving from one hospital to another one.

Our house is old and about to fall on us but I am not in a position to build a new one.

I am applying for a loan and hoping to develop like the other fellow women that were in the same situation but since they got the loan from PeopleWeaver I can see them developing, feeding their family, living like a family, being healthy, having discussions for development.

My plan is as follows:

  • 2 goats = 80,000sh
  • digging supplies = 20,000sh
  • seeds and planting = 20,000sh
  • TOTAL: 120,000sh

I know that with the two goats I will be able to get a profit. I will sell the surplus from the crops to pay back the loan.

Hope to hear from you positively.

Yours Mariya
