I am by name Sifa Françoise, 24 years old, a Congolese refugee residing in Mukarange village, block 6. I am a married and have three children named:
- Coolvat Baraka
- Zawadi Diana
- Uwezo Melody
I am very humbled to have an opportunity to write this request to your office hoping that you can change our life – especially our children's life.
I have had many challenges in life such as diseases that keep coming; my children are anemic and were admitted several times to the clinic. I have had challenges to get work due to health problems as I am not in a position of doing heavy work. My husband has had mental (cerebral) malaria in the past and sometimes becomes unstable. He was advised by doctors to stop his education and try otherwise. He stopped in primary seven and today we rely on casual labor and his creativity in carpentry.
I have a dream of making a business that would sustain our family. I have great hope that if you help us with a loan I can develop a business and care for my family. I would love to combine farming and livestock projects during this July season. I am sure that I will be able to pay back the loan and interest after one year.
I have strong beliefs that if you support me I can be one of the biggest testimonies in this world. As a young woman who dropped out of school from primary six, I believe I can learn and take my family to a next best level in life. I have been doing this at a small scale, selling palm cooking oil and other commodities.
My budget is as follows:
- Digging (farming) rice (40 x 40 meters): 60,000sh
- Planting and weeding: 40,000sh
- 20 litters palm oil: 20,000sh
I thank you for the great work you are doing in transforming vulnerable women in our community. I hope that as you have been a mother to my fellow refugee women I may also lay my hope in you.
I hope to get a positive response from you.
Yours faithfully, Sifa Françoise
