Thank you to donors by Benson Wereje
I am very happy to send this note to you hoping that you are doing well.
Allow me to show you how important it is and which type of people you are helping so that you can see how very crucial your help is.
Our community is compared to a man who was cutting a tree in the forest near a lake. When the tree was about to fall down a lion came to eat the man. The man was forced to climb the tree in order to save his life. Unfortunately he found a very big venomous snake in the tree. Because of the wind the tree started bending, it was about to fall, and the lion sat beneath the tree patiently waiting for the man to fall to the ground, the lion was very hungry. Remember that the tree was near a lake and it was towards the lake the tree was bending, in the same lake there were crocodiles waiting for their lunch. Where do you think the man would go? Who would save him?
The man represents the people you are helping in the Kyangwali Refugee Camp. The lion, crocodiles and the snake represent the problems the refugees experience – corruption, malaria, war, high numbers of HIV/AIDS positive people, high numbers of death and orphans caused by AIDS.
As you donate please remember that you are trying to pull us out from the tree before it falls.
Allow me to conclude by thanking all of you.
The refugees' commitment to a better life remains unshaken.
With Strong Love from Benson.
